Privacy notice

1. Who is responsible for your personal data

Rex de Instrumentación y Control (REXIC), with its registered address at Tezoyuca, State of Mexico, Mexico, and e-mail address ventas@rexic.com.mx, is responsible for the use and protection of your personal data, and hereby informs you of the following.

2. What personal data we collect

For the purposes described in this notice we collect only the data you provide voluntarily through the contact form on this website, by e-mail, by WhatsApp or by telephone:

• Identification data: your name.
• Contact data: e-mail address and telephone number.
• Employment data: the company or plant you work for.
• Technical project information: whatever you choose to include in your message, such as equipment, platforms, faults or the scope you require.

We do not collect sensitive personal data, nor financial or asset data, through this website. REXIC will never ask you for passwords, card numbers or banking details by this means.

3. What we use your personal data for

Primary purposes

These are necessary in order to serve you; without them we cannot provide a service:

• Responding to your enquiry, request for information or request for a quotation.
• Preparing and sending you technical and commercial proposals.
• Following up on the commercial relationship and on contracted services.
• Issuing tax receipts and complying with legal and contractual obligations.

Secondary purposes

These are not necessary in order to serve you, but they help us improve:

• Sending you information about REXIC services that may be useful to you.
• Producing internal statistics about the types of enquiry we receive.

If you do not wish your data to be used for these secondary purposes, you may say so at any time by writing to ventas@rexic.com.mx. Your refusal will never be grounds for denying you the services you request.

4. Who we share your data with

REXIC does not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We do not carry out any data transfer requiring your consent under article 37 of the Mexican Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.

Your data may be processed by suppliers acting as data processors on behalf of REXIC, and solely in order to operate this website and our communications: the website hosting service, the form delivery service, the e-mail provider and, where applicable, the WhatsApp messaging service. These suppliers are bound to process the data in accordance with this notice.

We may also disclose your data where required to do so by a competent authority or by an applicable legal provision.

5. How to exercise your ARCO rights

You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, what we use it for and the terms of that use (Access). You are also entitled to request the correction of your personal information where it is out of date, inaccurate or incomplete (Rectification); to ask us to remove it from our records where you consider it is not being used in accordance with the principles, duties and obligations laid down in the applicable rules (Cancellation); and to object to the use of your personal data for specific purposes (Opposition).

To exercise any of these rights, send your request to ventas@rexic.com.mx with the subject line “ARCO rights”, enclosing:

• Your full name and a means of sending you our reply.
• A copy of valid official identification proving your identity.
• A clear description of the data in respect of which you wish to exercise the right.
• Any document that makes it easier to locate your data.

We will reply within a maximum of 20 working days from receipt of your request. Where the request is granted, it will take effect within the following 15 working days. Exercising these rights is free of charge; you would only need to cover any postage or reproduction costs.

6. Withdrawing your consent

You may withdraw at any time the consent you gave us to process your personal data, by the same means described above. Please note that, because of certain legal obligations, we may have to continue processing some of your data; if that is the case we will tell you so.

7. Limiting the use or disclosure of your data

To stop receiving commercial communications from REXIC, simply reply “UNSUBSCRIBE” to any of our e-mails, or write to ventas@rexic.com.mx.

8. Cookies and tracking technologies

This website stores one local preference in your browser: the light or dark theme you choose. That information stays on your device only, is never sent to any server, and you can delete it by clearing the site data in your browser.

If a web analytics tool is enabled on this site, it may collect, in aggregate and without identifying you: pages visited, time spent, device type, browser and the site you arrived from. This information is used exclusively to improve the content of the site. You can prevent it by disabling cookies in your browser or by turning on the “Do Not Track” setting.

9. How long we keep your data

We keep your contact details for as long as a commercial relationship or an open enquiry exists, and thereafter for the period required by applicable tax and commercial legislation. Once those periods end, the data is blocked and then deleted.

10. Changes to this privacy notice

This notice may change as a result of new legal requirements, of our own needs, of changes to our business model or of changes in our privacy practices. Any change will be published on this same page, together with the date it was updated. We recommend reviewing it periodically.

11. Supervisory authority

If you consider that your right to the protection of personal data has been harmed by any conduct of REXIC, or you suspect a breach of the provisions of the Mexican Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, you may file a complaint with the Mexican data protection authority.

12. Language

This English text is provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version of this privacy notice is the one that prevails, as it is the version governed by Mexican law.
